     about us

We are a rapidly growing ministry with a rich heritage in musical

excellence.  As a department, our desire is to worship God in all facets of

life and lead others in their own worship experience.  We offer

opportunities for ministry in a variety of musical styles and worship

         settings.

     9 o'clock band

Worship Band - the 9am band provides music for our early service. With

a unique blend of instruments and voices, this group effectively leads

Evangel Temple in a contemporary worship setting. The 9am band

rehearses in the sanctuary every Sunday morning from 8-8:45am and

the third Sunday of every month from 1-3pm.

     worship leading choir

This Choir is a combination of students and young adults who sing

weekly in our 9am service. The group sings for worship and provides

our special music. The Worship Leading Choir rehearses every Sunday

from 4:30-5:30pm in the Music Room.

    ET orchestra

Our 20 piece orchestra plays in the 10:30am service and rehearses on

Wednesdays from 6-6:45pm. The orchestra accompanies our

congregational singing, the choir and provides special music each

month. The orchestra also participates in each of our seasonal events.

    sanctuary choir

This choir sings each week in our 10:30am service. With a long

standing reputation for producing excellent choral sounds, this group

ministers weekly through a variety of musical styles and also

participates in each of our seasonal events. The Sanctuary Choir

rehearses from 6:30-7:45pm every Wednesday in the music room.

skills; handbell experience not required.  This group ministers frequently

in Sunday services at Evangel Temple; participates in local handbell

festivals; presents concerts in Springfield as well as at Evangel Temple.

Ringers rehearse each Wednesday at 8:00pm.

and concerts in the area.  Ringers are also member of at least one of

the ET handbell choirs.  Ringers meet as needed.

Youth Ringers - Open to teens in grades 7-12 who have music reading

skills.  This group plays for Sunday services and special events at

    fine arts
Fine Arts Festival is a discipleship tool of the national youth ministries of

the Assemblies of God designed to “help students discover, develop

          and deploy their ministry gifts.”

Through Fine Arts Festival, students grades 6-12 are given the

opportunity to develop their ministry gifts and to have their Fine Arts

entries evaluated by qualified professionals, teachers and ministers

who encourage excellence and offer ideas for improvement.
